Comments of some exhibitors
Jeff Baum, Vice President – International, Manhattan Associates who were the Lead Event Partner for the event said that, “Supply Chain Week is the single most important event in the Australian Supply Chain & Logistics calendar,”
“Manhattan Associates was the lead event partner for the 2007 SSCT Show, which gave us a fantastic opportunity not only to showcase our solutions to key players in the Supply Chain & Logistics industry, but also to meet with newer and emerging organisations to help them plan their supply chain for high growth. The SSCT Show allows companies like Manhattan Associates to network with the core players within the industry and ensure our solutions continue to align with the changing needs of the Australian market.”
Mark Skipper, Managing Director, RedPrairie Asia Pacific added that “The SSCT 2007 exhibition was the best for many years. With all the innovations to have tightly integrated supply chain execution systems, a lot more interest was shown by the many more attendees at this years exhibition.”
According to Dan Jackson, Principal, CALM Consulting, the 2007 SSCT Show was a successful event for its company. “The SSCT Show was well organised and the placing of our 7SIM stand allowed us to display in a fitting manner, what we consider is the world’s most effective catalyst for successful change. We are glad we chose SSCT 2007 to launch 7SIM into the Supply Chain & Logistics community.”
“The 2007 event was, as expected, a tremendous success for Logistics Recruitment. Visitors had the opportunity to receive a copy of the Logistics Recruitment inaugural Supply Chain & Logistics salary & market report, which was launched during the exhibition. The team had the opportunity to renew contacts, network and to meet new people in the industry and we look forward to being there again in 2009,” Darryl Judd, General Manager, Logistics Recruitment.
Shaun Owen, Solution Designer, Transtech also added that they were really happy with the way their stand looked. “Transtech had the experience of being here two years ago, and we were better able to plan this time. We had many compliments on the stand, and we were very happy with the visitors we had,”
“The most significant thing about the SSCT Show is the percentage of visitors who are actually genuinely interested in our solutions. At other shows it might be 10-20% at most, whereas at the SSCT Show at least a third of passersby were interested in something Transtech were offering. The SSCT Show also has a very specific focus- Supply Chain Technology: which is exactly the space we are in. So it suits us down to the ground. This is the one show on the calendar we would not miss.”
New Exhibitors Polymer Logistics & Scale Components came away from the show with strong interest for its innovative and unique products.
Scale Components launched its new SC4000 in-motion weighing solution and ParcelScan cubing and weighing system at the event and received an overwhelmingly positive response. “This was Scale Components first time to exhibit at the SSCT Show and we were not sure as to the level of interest we would receive from the event. I have to admit that the show was well targeted and the attendees were high quality. Our new solutions complement so many other solutions and companies within the SSCT Show that we will definitely be back in 2009” said Ian Fleming, Managing Director, Scale Components.
Polymer Logistics showcased its One-Touch re-usable packaging solutions designed for industrial, commercial and retail use. Hendrik van der Zweep, General Manager, Polymer Logistics, said that all its containers serve a dual purpose as transport storage and in-store displays and can be easily folded, stacked and nested.
Nicola Williams, CEO of Transit Computer Systems added "We will definitely be booking again in 2009. The SSCT Show was a great opportunity to not only generate new leads, but to catch up with existing prospects, clients and the other suppliers in the industry."
J.P Joei, Managing Director, Effectis, added that exhibiting at both the 2005 and 2007 events has been worthwhile for his company. “Effectis launched pioneering new distribution centre workforce engineering solutions including ways to manage labour costs that stood out at the 2007 event.”
“Thank you to the team at Interpoint Events for making the 2007 SSCT show a great success. I would say it was a most fruitful event for JDA Software Group and we achieved our set goals on aspects like branding, networking and lead generation.” Vivien Wang, JDA Software Group.
Unique Exhibition Layout.
The Smart Supply Chain Technology Show is unique and original in both its design and layout of the exhibition booths. Attendees are able to compare small, medium and multi-national sized companies in the same light due to the layout and design of the booths.
“We have designed SSCT so the booths are similar, ensuring exhibitors display their solutions on a level playing field. This has proven to be a tremendous success for attendees as they were able to evaluate the technologies on show rather than be swayed by gimmicks,” Simon Cooper, Managing Director, Interpoint Events.
Benefits of pedestal stands
The SSCT organisers will again be offering all exhibitors the pedestal concept, which will significantly reduce the cost of exhibiting, both in terms of money and time. The pedestal style stands will provide companies an affordable alternative to ensure their presence in 2009.
The pedestal option is ideally suited for companies who are looking for a higher return on their tradeshow investment and for exhibitors who do not wish to transport large equipment to the show.
The pedestal is a high-valued, full-featured exhibitor package that includes walls, lighting, electricity, counter displays, corporate signage and labour but at a reduced cost. This will enable all exhibitors to participate easily and effectively in the show and is ideal for new exhibitors.
