The global economy and changing ways we conduct business is bringing forward a number of common problems. These include:

The cost of handling the diverse ways your customers want to do business.

The inability to quickly integrate internal systems to get a single, real-time view of the truth across all channels, within your Supply Chain

The difficulty in maintaining security and compliance over files, documents, messages and services

The fact that too many suppliers and partners not connected to each other’s trading systems limiting the way they interact with their customers

Existing systems, including purpose built applications and ERP, struggle to support these problems and cannot provide the visibility executives require.

Discover how a new breed of solutions from Sterling Commerce, along with the services delivery capability from IBM is solving today’s business challenges by bringing together applications, infrastructure and their trading partners to form new and more efficient trading communities.

The key benefits of this presentation are:

  • Hear an update of current market dynamics and what IBM is seeing as the new technological edge for improving the Supply Chain
  • Understand today’s order management and multi-channel challenges and how to solve them
  • See real-world examples from companies who wholesale, retail and manufacture goods and how they achieve Supply Chain visibility
  • Study the new research from leading analyst firms regarding ‘next generation’ Supply Chain solutions

Join Sterling Commerce and alliance partner IBM for a reality check on the Supply Chain market in Australia, market dynamics, and what you can do TODAY - to become more efficient, profitable and competitive.

Brenton Dodd, Client Manager, Retail & Supply Chain, Sterling Commerce is responsible for business development and increasing awareness of Sterling Commerce’s Supply Chain applications.

Dodd has been involved in Supply Chain operations since 1980. He spent seven years at Caterpillar working within its local and international Supply Chain, inventory control and warehousing operations.

In the late eighties Dodd worked for Intertrack, developers of the Pulse system and pioneers of radio frequency warehouse management systems technology in the Australian market.

Prior to his tenure with Sterling Commerce, Dodd spent five years at IBM as a sales solutions consultant, where he provided customer solutions involving technology from IBM and its business partners.

Previously, he was at Dawson Consulting as a Supply Chain solutions specialist. Dodd is based in the Sterling Commerce Melbourne office.

The Smart Supply Chain Technology Show will be held on the 20th and 21st of June 2007 as part of Supply Chain Week and alongside the Smart Conference.
