Many of Australia’s major manufacturers rely on Silicone Rubber Extrusions to provide such diverse products as seals for the following:
- Luxury marine cruisers
- Laboratory equipment
- Autoclaves
- Ozone generators
- Cold room manufacturing
- Resin transfer moulding and vacuum infusion processes in the composites industry
New Products from Silicone Rubber Extrusions
New products are always being developed to suit specific customer needs. These currently include:
- A range of self adhesive silicone profiles suitable for use in a marine environment
- Air valve elements only 0.35mm thick for use in medical equipment
- Highly transparent profiles utilising platinum cured silicone compounds
The growing demand for consistent quality has led to the recent introduction of laser micrometry techniques to give continuous real time control of product dimensions between the extrusion die and curing tunnel.
Extrusion dies are manufactured on site to customer requirements. This ensures a short lead time for new products and the ability to quickly modify existing tooling as customer requirements change.
