The SnapCap coarse bubble diffusers from Siemens Ltd are made of two simple parts; the support base and a flexible diaphragm cap. The snap-on diaphragm cap is manufactured from an EPDM-based thermoplastic rubber and aims to extend life and improve efficiency. During the aeration process, the diaphragm extends from the base and enables the air to pass through the orifices in the diaphragm. When there is no more air, the diaphragm immediately seals against the base by the pressure head of liquid, minimising clogging and backflow.
Features and benefits of the SnapCap coarse bubble diffusers include:
- Novel edge design locks on the flexible diaphragm to prevent blow off during sporadic pressure surges
- Available with ¾” and 3/8” NPT threads
- Available with a Celcon plastic base or a stainless steel base
- Can manage air flows up to 10 CFM
