Scalance X-200 line offers plant devices in the managed switch class and the range has now been expanded to include 4 high port density versions.
The Scalance X200 managed switches are available with an extra 4 versions in different combinations of electrical and/or fibre ports:
- Scalance X212-2: 12 x RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s ports and 2 x multimode glass fibre ST ports
- Scalance X212-2LD: 12 x RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s ports and 2 x Singlemode glass fibre ST ports
- Scalance X216: 16 x RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s ports
- Scalance X224: 24 x RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s ports
Use in redundant ring topologies:
The Scalance X-200 switches are an ideal solution for setting up electrical, optical or hybrid ring topologies where a high level of network availability is required. Redundancy switching time is less than 300 msec.
Unique strain relief concept:
The Scalance X-200 series have new strain relief sleeves on electrical ports which when used with Profinet compliant Industrial Ethernet connectors eg. FastConnect RJ45 Plug 180, provides improved tensile and bending force resistance (from the connected data cables) in comparison with standard RJ45 connectors.
Network management and diagnostics:
Scalance X-200 switches enable continual monitoring of network components by means of a signalling contact, web browser, Profinet diagnostics or SNMP network management.
With such mechanisms, problems can be quickly identified and corrected by both the network administrator and the programmable controller. Open circuits on electrical ports can be pin-pointed exactly using a web browser whereby the fault location is displayed right down to the metre thanks to copper line diagnostics.
Totally integrated automation:
The network structure and diagnostics of industrial Ethernet networks with Scalance X-200 switches is completely integrated into Simatic Step7. Online, important details which enable preventative maintenance of your network are provided.
Service with minimised downtimes:
With Scalance X200, the configuration data can be automatically saved on an optional memory card (C-plug). In the event of a device failure, the C-plug only needs to be plugged into the replacement device and the X200 has the same configuration as the device that was removed.
