Range of safe control solutions available from Sick

Sens:Control safe control solutions

sens:Control from Sick stands for safe control solutions with optimum sensor integration. This is a consistent concept, whose strengths lie in user-friendliness, modularity and adaptability.

The new generation of safe control solutions from Sick combines future-oriented technologies with easy handling during every project phase. For this purpose, Sick has developed a completely new, consistent product concept that is designed for uncomplicated use from relay to network solutions.

In addition, the development of a new modular safety controller, the Flexi Soft has almost been completed.

sens:Control – simple and safe control solutions:

The integrated, safe control solutions offer sophisticated technologies for all automation environments for an ideal interaction with all types of safety sensors.

Due to its low wiring requirement and rapid installation, the complete programme of safety relays allows simple integration of all safety components in a machine or plant.

Whether Flexi Classic or the new Flexi Soft, both safety controllers are system-open and flexibly expandable solutions. Comfortable wiring and intuitive parameterisation ensure simple integration in the machine controller.

Sick offers innovative safety network solutions and gateways that allow the integration and evaluation of safety-oriented components in bus systems for machines and plants with a high level of networking.

Everything under control with sens:Control:

In addition to the selection of components and their configuration, Sick supports machine constructors, OEMs and end-users during all project phases from the project planning, through commissioning and to the modernisation of existing equipment.

The safe sens:Control solutions offer sophisticated technologies for the ideal interaction of all participating components from the higher-ranking plant controller down to the sensors.

Here Sick, as a producer of sensors and sensor solutions worldwide, offers a comprehensive range of optoelectronic protective systems and safety switches for the protection of hazardous areas and points-of operation, as well as access.

sens:Control means constant innovation:

New machine features, changing demands at the mounting location, new processes and procedures – sens:Control adapts to innovative developments in the most varied of sectors and areas of application.

The latest example is the Flexi Soft safety controller for monitoring tactile and non-contact safety sensors. It will be positioned between relay and network technology controller environments and offer flexibly combinable function blocks, compact housings in every end-configuration, software-supported logic functions and expanded opportunities for fieldbus integration.

Based on modules with a width of 22.5mm, the platform concept will permit an individual and flexible design of the particular safety solution up to and including safety category 4 according to EN 954-1, or for applications up to performance level e in compliance with ISO 13849-1, and SIL3 according to IEC 62061.
