THE Metalix cncKad software system from Sheetmetal Tooling offers the full range of CAD/CAM capabilities for use with CNC punch, laser, flame, waterjet, and plasma machines.
The system supports the entire cycle of CNC operations and includes drafting, automatic and interactive processing modes, post processing, graphic simulation of CNC programs, manual or automatic nesting, downloading and uploading of NC files.
Files can be transferred from Solid Works, SolidEdge, Autodesk Inventor, and VertexG4 using a real-time associative link, and read directly from AutoCAD files without the need for dxf files.
Metalix cncKad is a powerful solution for rapid creation of NC files and transferring of products from one technology or machine type to another with just a few clicks of the mouse.
In addition to a full set of drafting tools, Metalix cncKad supports special sheetmetal drafting aids including notching (rectangular, oval or triangular), chamfering, filleting of individual or complete contours, shapes detection and editing with geometry validation (open or closed contours, duplicate entities etc).
Any Windows font can be inserted for cutting or etching and importing dxf, iges, CADL, dwg and other standard file formats.
For those who want more automation, Metalix's Parametric Programming (PPD) utilisies Visual Basic for cncKad and allows for the creation of Parametric Parts using a virtually unlimited number of parameters and supporting a large variety of requirements.
It offers users the option of creating Parametric Part Definition files (PPDs) master part files that are used to create parts that vary from each other by parameters such as (but not limited to) part size and hole size, quantity and position.
Metalix supports the Wilson Wheel family, single clamp movement, clamp avoidance, minimise tool rotation and tool path optimisation either globally or for an indivdual tool.
