The new Wilson Tool gear form delivering high and accurate forms is now available from Sheetmetal Tooling Tech .
The gear-driven forming insert creates forms as high as 13.4mm with reduced sheet deformation, 50% more height than conventional methods.
The Gear Form die has a much lower profile than conventional forming dies so the sheet stays almost flat as it goes over the stripper cap, causing less sheet distortion, less marking and greater accuracy.
High forms produced on standard punch press machines also result in fewer secondary operations without compromising on the designs.
The replaceable insert style of the die allows the tool to produce a wide variety of forms.
