SHARPEN Engineering has extended its range of air cooled packaged water chillers from 110kW to 210kW capacities. The smallest chillers in the range are of 1.5kW capacity.
The units are fully assembled, commissioned and capacity tested prior to dispatch and come with 12 month warranty service.
Sharpen water chiller packages include stainless steel inertia tank, stainless steel evaporator, variable speed head pressure controlled condenser fans, multistage high pressure chilled water pumps, all necessary safety controls, programmable electronic controller with digital display of temperature, pressure gauge, pilot lights and switches on control panel all enclosed within a powder coated galvanised cabinet.
Chiller operation is simple. Dial in a temperature and turn it on to provide a continuous supply of chilled water at a preset temperature.
Unlike many imported chillers Sharpen chillers are designed to operate at the high ambient temperatures experienced in Australia.
The footprint of a Sharpen chiller, which incorporates plate-to-plate technology for the evaporator, is significantly less than that required for the equivalent shell and tube evaporator chiller.
The other advantage of this technology is that the corrosion resistance is enhanced by the use of stainless steel rather than galvanising.
Water cooled versions are also available where a tube is used in vessel condensers to accommodate the poorer quality water from cooling towers.
Being Australian made all spare parts and service are readily available. In Melbourne this is performed by their associated company Sharp & Pendrey who has a fleet of service technicians on call 24 hours 7 days per week.
Interstate service is handled by appointed agents familiar with the product.
