Sevaan Group Pty Ltd has set up its own blast room, adding a powder coating facility to increase scope for new orders across the industry spectrum.
This follows a recent investment in another high-tech milling machine and a heavy gauge steel press to add to its vast number of machining centres. According to Chief Executive Officer Mr Tony Panrucker, the new facility perfectly complements their capabilities on the fabrication floor and in the machining department.
The 6.0 metre x 2.4m blast room is a facility designed to enhance the company’s chemical pre-treatment area and powder coating line.
The new blast room also allows Sevaan Group to further expand influence within the defence, engineering, railways, mining, construction and general fabrication sectors.
Mr Panrucker explains that manufacturing engineered components for their clients is a lot more streamlined and cost-effective when they are equipped with their very own blast room to complement the existing powder coating plant, allowing the company to eliminate double handling as well as complete orders far more quickly. Sevaan Group was previously outsourcing this function.
The new blast room allows the company complete control of all aspects of the order to offer their customer base reduced waiting periods for their products, enabling them to plan more efficiently.
The blast room completes the service offering from Sevaan Group, concentrating all the effort from start to finish at just one supplier and reducing risk of downtime for the customer.
Sevaan Group’s blast room is equipped with a magnetic separator that facilitates multiple blasting medium to speed up changes of medium for different material types. The blast room efficiently feeds product to their powder coating and wet paint line.
