Magnetic filtration of tramp iron

SERPENT and Dove has released its newly-patented spiral magnetic separator to filter fine or coarse ferrous contamination (frequently known as tramp iron) from liquid food, chemical, ink or fuel and oil lines.

The separator employs a novel spiral flow to ensure maximum exposure of iron particles to the neodymium (rare earth) magnet elements.

Magnetic flux-concentrating sleeves can be added to the magnet elements if required to trap very fine iron particles.

Liquid feed is introduced to the filter's housing tangentially, so that it spirals around the magnetic core for maximum recovery of offending particles before exiting.

The magnetic core removes easily for periodic cleaning.

Units can be paralleled for high capacity applications, or to keep product flows uninterrupted during cleaning.

The Serpent and Dove Spiral Magnetic Filter comes in stainless steel construction, which may be finished to sanitary standards.
