SEPAK Industries now design and manufacture batch pasteurising systems (cook tanks) suitable for commercial kitchens and caterers.

The cook tanks are suitable for pasteurising sealed food products such as meat roasts in sealed bags, stewed meat and vegetables in bags or jams and preserves in jars.

The cook tanks also come with a chilling option for automated, sequential cooking for cooling of sealed food products before refrigeration.

The cook tanks have a 1000L (total water volume) capacity as standard, however, there are other capacities available upon request and can be supplied with removable internal baskets for loading of products or an internal rolling drum, which is more suited for products to be chilled (can be used as a Tumble Chiller).

The baskets allow whole batches to be transported easily between processes and minimise loading time to reduce delays between batches.

The basket system is supplied with an overhead mono rail crane (optional swinging boom) for safe handling of product by operators.

The system, when used as a pasteuriser, fills the tank, heats and maintains a set temperature for a preset time, with the times and temperatures recorded on a Chart Recorder or Data Logger. Chilling of products works in a similar way.
