STICKPACK is on everyone's lips in the truest sense of the word in the UK; it promises top convenience with spoonless eating, it's economical, user-friendly, and saves on packaging materials.
Hassia Verpackungsmaschinen, represented by Selpak , has developed and installed, on behalf of Müller Dairy UK, a form, fill and seal machine for an asymmetric twin chamber StickPack.
These StickPack, marketed by Müller Dairy UK, go by the name of "Corner Squeezers" and are an alternative to the thermo-formed twin cavity pots (yoghurt and fruit), known as "Corner - never a dull moment".
The concept of the twin chamber StickPack, with its spoonless eating (direct into the mouth) is aimed, particularly, at very young consumers.
"I'm the portable version of the tasty Müller yoghurt that's ready when you are. No mess. No spoon. No washing up," says the description on the Müller website.
The Hassia machine SVL 20/30 forms the twin chamber packaging into a bottle neck shape and fills it with 48g yoghurt and 16g fruit pulp.
The machine then seals the 182mm long asymmetric Twin StickPack. An hourly output of up to 12,000 twin chamber StickPack is achieved by 45-50 strokes per minute.
