PACKAGING tablets in wallets is a highly economical option and offers consumers convenience.

A growing number of pharmaceutical manufacturers are changing their to tablet packing to carton strips.

Selpak via their German principal, Schubert, are offering various solutions for wallet packaging.

One is the clocked or cyclical method, which is used by TLM (Top Loading Machines) packaging machines. Alternatively, continuously running packaging machines can be used.

The clocked version allows different wallet designs to proceed on the same machine. It also allows simple format resetting, particularly after start up, avoiding the tedious fining exercises.

The latest TLM wallet packaging built by Schubert operates at 240 blisters per minute, incorporates an intermediate buffering system (eight minutes) for incoming blisters from the thermoformer, with a change over time of 20 minutes. The required footprint was only 2m x 9m.

For the Schubert range of equipment Selpak also offers a range of spare parts and local in-house German expertise for clients’ service requirements.
