DIRAK, a global innovator in latches, locks and hinges, has introduced a a versatile group of hinges among its first products incorporating D*SNAP technology. The new hinges, marketed under the Snap-Line brand, require no screws or tools for installation.
Available from Selectrix Industries , Snap-Line hinges are ideal for electrical enclosure applications, for cabinets in telecommunications, and for any sheet metal applications in an industrial environment.
Traditionally, installing a hinge on a door or frame requires as many as three steps: aligning the hardware, fitting washers and nuts, and tightening screws.
Installation of hardware with D*SNAP technology, from start to finish, takes about as much time as merely aligning a part -- the first step of the traditional assembly.
Snap-Line hinges save time and effort in final assembly of the door to the frame, because the door part and frame part of the hinge can be shipped already assembled as one piece, ready to be snapped into a prepared cutout on the door or frame.
A hinge with integrated D*SNAP technology in both its door part and frame part requires no other parts for installation. Panel preparation consists of a simple rectangular opening.
