Perfect seal is cleaner and cheaper
SEALING Systems will launch a new, simple and radically different seal technology at AusPack in October. Sealing Systems says the innovative sift-proof sealer is cleaner, more accurate and more reliable than slotdie pattern sealing equipment. The simplicity of the new sealer means it can be manufactured at a fraction of the cost of conventional sift-proof sealers.
The Sealing Systems’ sift-proof sealer delivers a series of beads of adhesive, tolerates more variability in the positioning of carton flaps, has a larger orifice that is less likely to block and does not encourage messy strings of adhesive. The company’s new automatic pattern controller suits folder gluers and all kinds of carton converting machinery. The controller ensures the adhesive is deposited in precise patterns and volumes irrespective of line speed, optimising the use of materials.
According to Sealing Systems, the sealer is unique, as it is manufactured locally and packaging manufacturers, converters and finishers will benefit from lower capital costs and ready availability of service and spare parts.
Sealing Systems will also present its onserting adhesive applicators for the publishing industry, the Thumbgun system, for the easy manual gluing of components and a hot melt twirl gun for peel and stick applications, such as envelopes and pressure-sensitive cartons.
Visitors to Sealing Systems' stand will also be able to watch the SS2000 pallet stabilisation system in operation, which applies a polymer in a precisely controlled pattern to keep boxes in place.
Sealing Systems will be at stand 195 at AusPack from 11-14 October at the Sydney Showground.
