SCITECH has released a recent addition to the SPOT range of microscope cameras.
Introduced in 2005 by Diagnostic Instruments, the SPOT Xplorer Digital Camera offers top performance specifications on all fronts, including superior regulated cooling, which makes it the obvious choice for labs that need to perform a wide variety of critical quantitative applications.
It delivers the highest level of regulated cooling in its class (to -42°C) providing tremendous performance for extremely long exposures.
The Xplorer has a sensitive 4 Megapixel CCD with a large format for a wide Field of View and a slow noise high-speed readout with optimised streaming mode.
Other features of the Xplorer include: high speed PCI data transfer, up to 14 bit data conversion and adjustable gain from 0.5 to 64.
Available in monochrome and colour slider models, the camera can be controlled by different types of software.
For simple imaging tasks SPOT software can be used, but for more complex tasks the Xplorer also allows for compatibility with multiple high end third party software that specialise in complex control, automation and analysis of whole experiments.
