Scitech introduces the future of miniature spectrometers with a truly smart range of spectrometers from B&WTek.
Exemplar smart CCD spectrometers feature onboard data processing, USB 3.0 communication, and temperature compensation in a compact form factor. Ground-breaking features in the new range of smart spectrometers also include unprecedented speed, using ‘SuperSpeed’ USB 3.0 communication to provide data transfer of 900 spectra per second as well as multichannel capabilities that deliver an ultra-low trigger delay of 14 nanoseconds and a gate jitter of +/-1 nanosecond.
The ability to control the CCD exposure time to within one microsecond allows the user to have superior control over the spectra’s signal-to-noise ratio. Additionally, the Exemplar features a 2048 element detector and built-in 16-bit digitizer with greater than 2.0 MHz readout speed.
These advanced capabilities in the Exemplar smart CCD spectrometer make this platform ideal for demanding applications such as high speed binning and sorting, reaction kinetics, and process monitoring. By supporting up to 16 simultaneous channels, the Exemplar is also the perfect solution for simultaneous multichannel analysis, such as multipoint sampling, and LIBS (laser induced breakdown spectroscopy).
The Exemplar is ideal for most UV, Vis, and NIR applications with spectral configurations from 200nm to 1050nm and resolution between 0.5nm and 4.0nm. Custom configurations are available for OEM applications.
Applications of Exemplar smart CCD spectrometers:
- UV, Vis, and NIR: Spectroscopy/ Spectroradiometry/ Spectrophotometry
- Absorbance/ Reflectance/ Transmittance
- Kinetic Reaction Monitoring
- Transient Spectral Analysis
- Wavelength Identification
- OEM Systems Integration
- Multi-Point Sampling
The Exemplar LS spectrometer provides all the advantages of low stray light spectrograph while still retaining an extremely small form factor, making it the perfect solution for integration into compact UV or UV/Vis spectrophotometer systems.
The Exemplar Plus builds on the advantages of low stray light spectrograph by significantly increasing the focal length, which decreases the linear dispersion to dramatically improve spectral resolution. The Exemplar Plus also features a highly sensitive, high dynamic range TE cooled back-thinned (BT) CCD detector with 2048 effective pixels.
