CytoViva available from Scitech

CytoViva- breakthrough technology for researchers in Nanotechnology, infectious disease and drug discovery

CytoViva is a new product combining fluorescence and high resolution optical imaging to create a new, good level of microscopy performance.

CytoViva is now available exclusively from Scitech. This unique system allows researchers to view both fluorescent and non-fluorescent sample structures simultaneously, in real-time and at high resolution.

With CytoViva, researchers can now have sub 100nm resolution imaging of nano-materials and live biological specimens, right in their own lab.

CytoViva was selected by R&D Magazine as one of the top 100 most technologically significant products introduced to the marketplace in 2006.

CytoViva’s technology advances the performance of optical microscopy by:

  • Significantly improving optical microscopy resolution - The practical resolving power of CytoViva equipped microscopes is less than 100nm versus approximately 250nm for conventional research microscopes
  • Allowing fluorescent and non-fluorescent specimens to be viewed simultaneously in real time and at high resolution - Traditional fluorescent microscopes only allow these two specimens to be imaged independently.

Scientific research supported by CytoViva:

Nanotechnology

  • Nano-cancer therapeutics
  • Nano-polymers, composites
  • Nano- toxicology

Infectious Disease

  • Bacteriology
  • Parasitology
  • Virology-Immunology

Biotechnology

  • Drug delivery
  • Tissue regeneration
  • Emulsion chemistry

With CytoViva you can come face to face with biology in action and the interactions key to defining mechanisms. The typical optical microscope provides a maximum theoretical resolution limit of 240nm. With resolution below 100nm and detection below 50nm, CytoViva allows you to see details not possible with traditional microscopy.
