KSV Minimicro is the next generation miniaturised Langmuir Blodgett trough system that has been designed to meet the requirements of small size, small subphase volumes, modularity and portability.
The flexible design combined with the key features of all KSV LB systems makes the Minimicro the smaller, but useful and powerful tool for a wide range of studies with monolayers, nanotechnology, biotechnology, molecular electronics, pharmaceuticals, etc.
The Minimicro series from Scientific Solutions is available in three basic modular configurations; however the modularity of the Minimicro allows upgrade at any time. KSV also provides customised troughs for tailoring the instrument for a wide range of special applications.
Where the imperative requirement is for the smaller size possible, due to small sample volume or expensive materials, the Minimicro trough is the ideal option available.
The Minimicro is capable of symmetric compression of the monolayer by two inter-linked surface barriers, or alternatively, a single barrier can be used for single side deposition.
Barriers are leak proof hydrophilic Delrin, with Hydrophobic PTFE available as an option. The trough itself is manufactured from form sintered single piece non-porous PTFE.
Subphase temperature control is facilitated by an aluminium heat/cool base plate operated by optional external circulating water bath
Surface pressure is available on the digital display as well as being monitored in the controlling software, WINLB.
