The publishing division of Scholastic Australia is responsible for all books and multimedia published by the company, including trade books, Omnibus editions and Margaret Hamilton books. Scholastic Australia publishes more than 100 titles every year, for the age group of three to fourteen years, most of which are picture books, and are extremely popular with children. This enables Scholastic Australia discover and nurture new authors and illustrators. The best example of this would be the recently published Deltora Quest books, with sales over 1.2 million.
Scholastic Media & Technology is an important wing of Scholastic Australia, proving sales and service support in software, graphics and design, and licensing. The products offered by Scholastic Media & Technology include Autodesk (including AutoCAD versions), Punch software, Quark, SageCRM and Nuance to name a few.
The sales division of Scholastic Australia is responsible for the formation of its popular ‘Book Clubs’; holding periodic book fairs; managing the functioning of ‘Scholastic Education’ and ‘Scholastic At Home’, which is the direct to home division of Scholastic Australia ; and in trade and distribution of Scholastic Australia products to all major and independent book sellers in Australia.
Australian Standing Orders is another arm of Scholastic Australia, offering subscription service to school libraries.
