Energy management specialist Schneider Electric has launched its Power Outage Insight Solution (POI) in the Australian market.
An intuitive crisis prevention and recovery system, the Power Outage Insight Solution is designed as an integrated solution with no additional software required, monitoring low voltage electrical distribution systems and scheduling predictive maintenance for minimising unexpected downtime through its intelligent web-based interfaces. During a power failure, the software performs real-time diagnostics to quickly identify the source of the problem and provides concise and easy-to-follow power restoration instructions.
The POI solution maximises continuous access to safe electricity across critical power applications, and is tailored for a number of sectors where uninterrupted power supply is highly critical including data centres, mining, oil and gas, and healthcare.
A wireless breaker closing remote control device is also provided to allow users to close breakers from a safe distance.
Cost effective and easy to install in both greenfield and existing sites for immediate improvement in power reliability, the POI solution has an embedded database that provides traceability of repairs, maintenance, and changes to device settings and layout for simple long-term management.
Paul Thompson, Engineer, Schneider Electric explains that power outages can have a huge impact on an organisation’s bottom line and its people. The Power Outage Insight Solution acts as a 24/7 in-house electrical expert, supporting staff in daily operations and emergency situations.
