Schneider Electric joins forces with Process Partners on clean-in-place solutions for the food and beverage industry

Supplier News

Global energy management specialist, Schneider Electric has entered into a new agreement with Process Partners to offer Clean-In-Place (CIP) optimisation solutions to the food and beverage sector. The agreement is set to deliver tangible cost savings and improved operational efficiency benefits to food and beverage manufacturers.

The partnership leverages Schneider Electric’s automation and energy management expertise along with Process Partners’ proven industry experience in designing, integrating and optimising new and existing clean in place systems and food processing equipment.

Craig Roseman, Food & Beverage Segment Manager, Schneider Electric Australia explained that they were able to identify CIP system performance as a major challenge within the industry following discussions with many food and beverage manufacturers. Left unresolved, these CIP system issues have the ability to adversely impact food safety as well as quality, manufacturing cost and plant capacity.

He adds that addressing clean-in-place solutions will help optimise the performance of industrial plants and alleviate pressure on a highly competitive industry, presenting an opportunity for clients to convert a constraint into an area of growth for their business.

The Schneider Electric CIP Optimisation solution encompasses a holistic review of the CIP system to identify areas for improvement, which are then captured and highlighted in a comprehensive report with detailed recommendations. An assessment on the CIP’s energy usage, process automation and the CIP equipment is undertaken to guarantee cleaning performance, ensure key parameters are managed and satisfy food safety requirements.

Schneider Electric’s CIP activities can help their clients achieve three key outcomes for their business: Reduce energy consumption; lower environmental impact; and improve productivity.

According to Peter Rykenberg, Director of Process Partners, by integrating Schneider Electric’s products and professional services with the core process expertise from Process Partners, the partnership can effectively diagnose and remedy their clients’ clean-in-place problems.
