Schenck Process Linear Motion Screens are designed and built for the most arduous environments
Product/Service Name
Schenck Process Linear Motion Screens
Function/ApplicationsSchenck Process screens are available in multislope (banana) and flat deck models for wet and dry applications, supplied in single- and double-deck configurations. Applications cover sizing, dewatering, desliming, media recovery and trash removal in corrosive and abrasive environments.
Differentiating FeaturesSchenck Process Screens have been used in the most difficult operating conditions, since the early 1950s. With many years of experience in designing and building screens, users of these screens know that their investment in a Schenck Process unit is well protected.
Today, Schenck Process Linear Motion Screens are the industry standard for this type of equipment worldwide.
All of the larger screens are powered by the unique Schenck Process Directional Force Exciters. All screens are custom-designed and manufactured to solve individual customer requirements.
Features include: huckbolted-construction, no welding on the side plate, vibration isolation of 96-98% provided by coil springs and low noise operation.
Schenck Process Linear Motion Screens are suitable for all modular screen deck panels.
For dry applications, these screens use open-end cross beams, with close end beams for wet applications, to minimise corrosion.
For better vibration isolation, these units can be supplied with an optional isolation frame. This results in up to 99.8% vibration isolation.
Schenck Process also supply their linear motion screens with an optional on-line monitoring capability, using Schenck Process Vibromac and Vibroweigh systems.
Where required, screens can be hot dip galvanised or supplied with high-density epoxy paint systems.
All Schenck Process Linear Motion Screens use dynamic analysis as part of their quality assurance program. The accuracy of the test procedure and the correct interpretation of the results are vital in ensuring the longevity of the screen. Testing is done using Schenck Process’s specially designed equipment and procedures.
The dynamic analysis determines the natural frequencies of the screen assembly.
All Schenck Process Screens are designed for infinite fatigue live, under normal operating conditions, as defined in BS 7608.
Other DetailsAll Schenck Process Linear Motion Screens are manufactured with great attention to detail.
Cross members on our screens are stress relieved rectangular hollow sections (RHS), which are sized with a significant safety factor to accommodate unexpected, but normal, overloads.
The end flanges are attached to the RHS by full penetration welds, to AS
1554 Special Purpose Welds. The longitudinal rails are Huckbolted to the crossbeam cleats generally used for dry application, welded cleats are used for wet application to minimise corrosion.
The drive beam is a torsionally rigid fabricated box beam specially designed to accommodate the forces generated by the exciters.
The exciter beam is stress relieved and machined with particular attention paid to the exciter mounting pads. This beam is critical to the performance of the screen, and all welding exceeds the requirements of AS 1554 for special purpose welds.
