Schaefer Systems International have acquired Salomon Automation. Salomon Automation will be an independent member company within the Schaefer Group, with unchanged management. The two companies announced that SSI Schaefer will acquire the entire Salomon Automation group of companies, subject to approval by authorities. Both companies are participants in the market for automated logistics systems.
According to SSI Schaefer, they are relying on the software and logistics know-how of Salomon Automation and expect synergies within their group of companies. This partnership will also strengthen the SSI Schaefer Graz location. Salomon Automation will be positioned as an independent systems integrator and software provider.
According to Salomon Automation, the assured access to system components of the SSI Schaefer Group and the integration into the worldwide distribution network are advantages for Salomon Automation.
Part of the Schaefer group of companies, SSI Schaefer Noell in Giebelstadt (Germany) and SSI Schaefer Peem in Graz (Austria) are involved in complex logistics systems and picking technologies.
The three companies will be supported by production facilities in Graz and Hranice (CZ), where production focuses on the manufacture of automation components. Production capabilities in Hranice are currently being expanded to 60,000m2. Salomon Automation have WAMAS logistics software and facilities.
