Schaefer Systems International , also known as SSI Schaefer, were awarded the Image Award in the category of warehouse and conveyor technology. To identify the image of the main suppliers of logistical services and products, the market research institute, TNS Emnid, surveyed 300 randomly selected logistics managers of industrial and trading companies in Germany.
Criteria for the selection of the company with the best image were reputation, brand awareness and recommendations.
Customers and non-clients chose SSI Schaefer as a supplier of boxes and containers, shelving and racking systems, workshop and production equipment, logistics systems, office equipment and waste management and recycling.
The family business scored with 747 out of 1000 points and prevailed over 101 contestants. About 140 industry members followed the award ceremony at the end of 2008 as part of the German Logistics Congress in Berlin. The Image Award is developed through LOGISTIK inside.
Klaus Tersteegen, Managing Director, SSI Schaefer, received the Image Award from Felix Fiege, Managing Director, Fiege Engineering and member of the owner family of Fiege Group in Greven.
