Vibration transducer and signal conditioner

HARDY Instruments, represented by Scale Components , has released the HI 5701VT vibration transmitter, a vibration transducer and signal conditioner combined in a single compact package that inexpensively provides an early warning of excessive vibration in plant machinery.

The HI 5701VT is suitable for installations where excessive vibration is one of the main causes of equipment repair and damage and where destruction of machinery will cause loss of production.

The vibration transmitter can be used with process weighing equipment, process measuring devices and devices with flow, level and pressures. The HI 5701VT is used in a range of industries including mining, cement, building and construction, transportation, pharmaceuticals, food processing, petrochemical and automotive.

The loop powered HI 5701VT attaches directly to a bearing housing or other critical measurement point on a machine and only two wires are needed for installation with the loop-powered design. A connector is included for access to the “raw” dynamic vibration signal.

The HI 5701VT vibration transmitter is a true rms, two wire, loop-powered vibration transmitter that connects directly to a DCS, PLC or other monitoring instrument, providing a low-cost method for monitoring the condition of pumps, fans, motors, or other machinery.

The HI 5701VT operates like other process sensors and is easy to apply and use. The output of the HI 5701VT is 4-20mA, directly proportional to the overall vibration level of the equipment.

Dynamic output can be plugged into a data logger to provide access to the full dynamic spectrum for diagnostic analysis. This cost effective vibration transmitter provides both overall and spectrum analysis capabilities.
