Scale Components have supplied two trolley mounted, mobile dimensioning systems, the CubiScan 100, to be used at Repco’s large distribution centre in Brisbane.
Mobile dimensioning systems are used to catalogue the weight and dimensional properties of every item stored in the warehouse with data then imported into the user’s warehouse management system.
Dimensioning systems do away with the need to manually collect and enter dimensional data into the warehouse management system.
Warehouse management systems require the weight and dimension of every item before they are added to the stock register and modern warehouses rely on cubing or dimension systems to automate this process.
Scale Components CubiScan 100 automatically captures the weight, dimensional data and barcode information for direct import into a warehouse management system.
Scale Components supplied two CubiScan 100 dimensioning and weighing systems to Repco Brisbane. Each mobile dimensioning system was fitted to a trolley with rechargeable batteries and integrated inverter/recharging hardware to provide a mobile cubing and weighing station.
Repco fitted their PC with acquisition software to the trolley to process the dimensional and weight data captured by the CubiScan mobile dimensioning system.
The Cubiscan 100 is manufactured by Quantronix in the USA and supplied exclusively by Scale Components in Australia.
