The Mayo Group employed a CubiScan 100 integrated cubing and weighing system from Scale Components to identify, collect and transfer SKU weight and cube data into a new Warehouse Management System (WMS).
As part of the process of implementing the new WMS, the Mayo Group completed a program of dimensioning over 4000 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) using a CubiScan 100.
According to Group Distribution Manager Greg Goldsmith, collection of precise SKU weight and cube data and the secure transfer of this information into a warehouse management system are fundamental requirements for modern warehouse operations, achieved effectively by the CubiScan 100 dimensioning system.
The CubiScan 100 integrated cubing and weighing systems are proven productive and efficient tools in warehouse operations.
Scale Components Business Development Manager, Rhett Talley says that warehouse customers as well as vendors of warehouse management systems are increasingly learning first-hand the fundamental power of accurate SKU dimensional data.
Clients often do not realise the full potential of their WMS software modules because of the difficulty in manually obtaining precise SKU dimensional data. The automated CubiScan 100 integrated cubing and weighing system enables quick and easy acquisition of very precise SKU dimensional data.
Mr Talley adds that the collection and transfer of SKU data by the CubiScan 100 dimensioning systems populates the inventory database with exact information, which simply serves to supercharge the client’s WMS, making those formerly underused modules fully functional.
