Scale Components is commissioning check weigh cube equipment for a national transport company.
Scale Components has installed two sets of the check weigh cube equipment at their Brisbane facility while single systems will be installed at the company’s freight depots in Sydney and Melbourne.
A key advantage of check weigh cube equipment is that it significantly increases freight throughput by automatically attaining fast and accurate weight as well as dimensional data of loaded pallets with minimal operator input.
Loaded pallets are placed on a platform scale within the confines of the designated check weigh cube equipment while a bar code scanner registers identification data.
A set of SICK laser measurement sensors mounted on overhead framework then transverses the length of the cubing portal to capture a dimensional image of the palletised item.
Specifically designed for pallets, the check weigh cube equipment is manufactured by Scale Components at their Slacks Creek factory in Brisbane. This equipment carries full trade approvals to allow freight companies to generate invoices based on the attained data.
The captured data can also be transferred into the client’s existing Warehouse Management Systems using Scale Components’ own proprietary CubeMaster interface software.
The Brisbane-based Scale Components has branches in Sydney and Melbourne, providing full national coverage on their check weigh cube systems.
Scale Components is also the exclusive Australian distributor for a range of CubiScan cubing and dimensioning systems manufactured by Quantronix, USA.
