A batch controller configured for manually added ingredients by weight was recently commissioned for a chemical manufacturer near the Port of Brisbane. Due to its ability to be configured on site to suit most small to medium batching applications, a Systec IT3000 batch controller was supplied by Scale Components .
In this application the ingredients are added manually and the operator recalls the required product recipe from the Systec IT3000 batch controller’s memory.
The batch controller transmits the required ingredient weights to a small remote display located on the mezzanine floor, allowing the operator to manually add each ingredient directly into the weigh hopper as displayed on the remote display.
The Systec batch controller then automatically decants the hopper contents into drums/containers at the exact weights by controlling the discharge valve. The IT3000 batch controller is ideally suited to batching applications that require intelligent control without the complexity of a PC based batching system.
Systec IT3000 batch controllers are encased in an IP65 rated stainless steel housing that is suitable for harsh environments. The highly legible liquid crystal display (LCD) can display full alpha/numeric characters such as product and recipe names. External large industrial buttons are used for Start and Stop functions in this batching application.
