SAURIN manufactures a range of pneumatic driers (ring drier and flash drier) for drying viscous products.
The driers are suitable for use in the dairy, food, chemicals and minerals industries. These are generally suitable for drying filter cakes, fibrous materials, sludges and particulates. The largest user of ring driers in Australia are the starch manufacturers. Saurin’s ring driers treat the product gently and prevent heat damage to the product.
Each process has its own requirements and the pneumatic drier is customised accordingly.
Saurin has a pilot ring drier in their laboratory for product trials. The data is used for the design of a full scale drier. The supply range includes ring drier and flash driers.
Ancillary equipment includes back mixers, classifiers, special feeders, wet scrubbers, cyclones and bag filters.
Back mixing modifies the feed material that assists in processing. The classifier recycles the bigger particles. In conjunction with a disintegrator, the classifier can break the product down into fine powder. Ring driers are cheaper and simpler than spray driers. These are controlled by a PLC system.
Saurin can supply a pilot scale unit (RD 10), the components or a complete turnkey solution. This consists of air filter, air heating, powder feed system, back mixing system, disintegrator, classifier, dust collection system and controls.
