Satcam has been supplying and supporting businesses with software, hardware and consumables for the prototyping and manufacturing of printed circuit boards. Now, Satcam introduces T-Tech’s Quick Connect systems for through hole automated connectivity.
The panel in the Quick Connect is carefully removed from the milling table, and the epoxy is cured in an oven (infra-red or convection).
For hollow through-holes, these should have been drilled slightly (0.010”/0.25mm) oversize before goo was squirted into them. Then, after thermal curing, the panel is placed back on the milling table and a second stage drill is done at the final size, to leave a thin shell of cured conductive epoxy down the hole.
The Quick Connect systems for through hole automated connectivity are recommended for boards with a lot of PTHs.
There is enough silver-plated copper in the goo (about 85%) to assure easy solderability.
These systems require an oven, a compressed air supply, and refrigeration between uses for the paste.
