Sandvik service overcomes critical vehicle and machinery shortages

Supplier News

Sandvik Mining & Construction has developed Service Exchange to help eliminate downtime for its customers.

With depots in Kalgoorlie, Mt Isa, Cobar and Burnie, Sandvik can supply its customers with a wide range of re-manufactured components, all guaranteed for quality.

Service Exchange coordinator Gavin Polak says the service allows customers to replace failed or unserviceable components with warranted Sandvik components at a “fraction” of the brand new cost.

“We are so confident of the quality of our re-manufactured components we offer an extended new parts warrantee if the components are installed by Sandvik staff,” Polak says.

He says customers find Service Exchange more convenient and cost-effective than ordering new components and then carrying them in inventory until needed.

“Faulty or damaged components are exchanged for quality re-manufactured components from the Service Exchange product offering and the failed components are taken back to Sandvik’s workshops, fully inspected, repaired and tested to ensure they meet Sandvik’s exacting standards.

“Our customers can’t afford to have vehicles and staff sitting idle waiting for components to be inspected, repaired and returned, so Service Exchange provides a timely and cost-effective alternative to downtime,” Polak says.

The service carries a wide range of re-manufactured components and parts for Toro loaders and trucks, and for all Tamrock drilling equipment.
