World-leading supplier of cutting tools and tooling systems for the metalworking industry, Sandvik Coromant has introduced a new full profile hob for gear milling.  

The CoroMill 176 is a new range of indexable carbide insert hobs designed to reduce cutting time by 50% in gear milling operations while also doubling tool life compared to traditional high speed steel cutters.  

The new CoroMill 176 carbide insert hobs are ideal for roughing, semi-finishing and finishing works, covering gear profile sizes in the range module 4-6.  

Featuring standard carbide inserts for gear profiles according to DIN3972-2, CoroMill 176 carbide insert hobs can be custom-made for specific profiles, for instance with addendum modification and protuberance. 

CoroMill 176 carbide insert hobs are extremely user-friendly with the iLock interface ensuring precision and stability.  

CoroMill 176 is registered as Quality class B in accordance with DIN3968.
