The Nieve Company Selects Sanderson’s Food and Beverage Software to Support Business Growth

Sanderson Australia , the publicly-owned provider of software for the food and drink industry has won a contract to supply its UnityF8 food software solution to The Nieve Company, producers of the premium gelato brand, Gelativo.  

The Nieve Company, based in Sydney is a family-owned business established in 2004. Its Gelativo gelato brand has an enviable reputation for product quality and is now found on supermarket shelves throughout Australia as well as local independents in the Sydney metropolitan area.  

Having outgrown its existing MYOB software, The Nieve Company wanted a scalable IT food software solution that could address their current business needs whilst providing the functionality to support future growth.  

UnityF8 food and beverage software from Sanderson, the specialist IT solution provider for food manufacturers was chosen because it provides an extensive range of proven functionalities for the food industry.  

The Nieve Company will use UnityF8 to control inventory by pallet and lot, replacing manual records with the Sanderson central recipe management system to provide complete traceability from supplier to customer.  

In addition, the Nieve Company will be able to exchange data electronically with the major supermarkets using UnityF8’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) functionality.  

The system will also automate the production of Serial Shipping Container Code labels, further improving traceability and auditing processes.  

The Nieve Company will use UnityF8 food and beverage software to improve results in its telesales operation for Sydney metro, which calls over 1300 customers on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.  

Jose Cosentino, Managing Director at The Nieve Company, explained: “Our telesales operation is very labour-intensive and the operators work from paper-based call lists. The Sanderson solution automates this function, providing us with valuable management data about who is and who isn’t buying. We see Sanderson’s emphasis on the food industry as a major advantage to our business.”
