Sage Software has appointed Kieran O’Shaughnessy to its Australian management team in the senior role of partner sales manager for Sage Business Solutions Australia and New Zealand. He will report directly to Sage Business Solutions’ Managing Director, Mike Lorge.
“Kieran is well known in the industry for his ability to successfully grow businesses that rely exclusively on the channel. We are delighted he has joined the Sage team,” Lorge said.
In his new role, Mr O’Shaughnessy will be responsible for re-visiting Sage’s Partner Program for Australia and New Zealand following the formation of Sage Business Solutions Group.
This Group has a 100 percent channel sales strategy and provides a comprehensive range of end-to-end solutions including accounting, CRM, ERP, supply chain and business Intelligence software to small, mid-sized, departmental and enterprise customers in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
“With the revamped group, our 160 partners now have access to a vastly expanded business management solution set from Sage,” O’Shaughnessy said.
“The new strategy will leverage the integration between Sage’s popular brands such as Accpac, ACT by Sage, Sage CRM, SalesLogix and Timberline, to meet the demand for more flexible approaches to business software,” he said.
Kieran brings to the role more than 13 years experience of driving partner programs for organisations that sell via the channel.
Recently, at SCO he held the position of Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand for seven years.
Prior to this, he worked with Hypertec as General Manager Sales for Australia and New Zealand. He established Hypertec’s New Zealand office and grew it to revenue of more than $NZ6 million, before relocating to Australia in the late nineties.
Born in New Zealand, O’Shaughnessy has resided in Australia for eight years and holds a marketing degree from Massey University.
O’Shaughnessy’s appointment follows the announcement in April that Steve Orleow has joined Sage as Partner Development Manager responsible for identifying and bringing on new Sage partners.
