Sage Accpac has appointed Michael Lorge as its new general manager for Australia and New Zealand.
“Our objectives at Sage Accpac will include growing the market share of Sage Accpac in line with its established position as a leading mid-market business software brand,” said Lorge.
“Integral to this is focusing on our partnership with our channel, ensuring that we provide the support they need to succeed.”
Lorge will be taking over the position previously held by Daithi Holden. Holden leaves Sage Accpac to pursue new market opportunities.
Lorge is a chartered accountant, and became a director of Softline Holdings (now wholly owned by Sage) in 1999, after his IT services company Lorge Consulting was acquired by Softline. This company was a Sage Accpac Business Partner and grew to be the largest and most profitable in the world, winning numerous partner awards.
Lorge moved to Australia in 2000 following the establishment by Softline of its Australian operations. The following year Lorge founded Pivotil, which provides best practice business management tools and methodologies for Sage Business Partners.
