Pallet Dispensers: Safe Pallet Storage and Access
Product/Service Name
Safetech hook tyne and side entry pallet dispensers
Function/ApplicationsPallet storage and access are critical to managing work flow and to keep work space free obstacles. Collection and dispensing of pallets is best achieved by well-planned work processes combined with pallet dispensing and accumulating equipment.
Typical applications include:
-Manufacturing environments requiring fast pallet throughput
-Robotic palletising. Pallet dispensers free the robot for greater efficiency.
-Stand alone floor level pallet dispensers make individual pallets available to operators without the need for a forklift
-Creation of forklift truck free zones by allowing loading/unloading of the dispenser from 1 side with a forklift and unloading/loading from the other side with a hand pallet truck
Differentiating FeaturesPALLET DISPENSERS
SIDE ENTRY PALLET DISPENSER
-Side entry dispensers incorporate a pair of telescoping tynes mounted onto the deck of a hydraulic table.
-Telescoping tynes project out to support and elevate the pallet stack. This allows the dispensing of the unsupported bottom pallet. The tynes then lower, retract away from the stack, elevate and are replaced in the stack leaving the bottom pallet unsupported to repeat the cycle.
-A wide range of pallet sizes can be handled without alteration to the machine. Loading and dispensing happen from the same side.
-When used with conveyors pallet stacks can be forked or conveyed into position and individual pallets dispensed onto the conveyor.
-Stand alone side entry dispensers can accept a pallet stack placed on the floor and dispense individual pallets onto the floor with only the need for a hand pallet truck.
HOOK TYNE DISPENSERS
-Hook tyne pallet dispensers incorporate four swing in hook tynes that raise and lower the pallet stack.
-This design allows flexibility for pallet entry and exit points.
-A significant advantage of this design is the ability to accept a pallet stack from one side and dispense individual pallets to the other side. Pallets can be loaded or unloaded with fork lifts or hand pallet trucks. This configuration allows fork lift and pedestrian work areas to be separated whilst retaining the utility of fork lift and hand pallet trucks.
All of these pallet dispensers can be used in reverse as pallet accumulators. Their use eliminates the need to manually stack pallets and substantially reduces the amount of area used to store pallets on a work site. Pallet damage is reduced (particularly with side entry and hook
tyne) and this adds a further cost saving.
