8 metre 4 tonne lift table for Singapore

Distributor: Technicaids

Customer profile: PFP Technologies are based in Singapore and manufacture large diameter pipe and tube products for the oil and gas industry.

The Problem:

PFP Technologies required a highly modified load-elevating device to manipulate specialised pipe and tube product up to 300 mm in diameter at its plant in Singapore.

The initial specification called for a 4 tonne lift capacity with an 8 m by 800 mm deck and stroke of 1.8 m. Safetech through its distributor Technicaids was approached to design and construct the table.

The Solution:

Safetech was chosen because of its reputation for high quality custom manufactured lift tables of good strength and reliability

Particular features important to the customer were:

  • The benefits offered by the unique Safetech Smart lift with its comprehensive safety features and range of self-diagnostic functions
  • The customer required absolute operational reliability from this critical piece of plant-a feature the distributor felt could only be met by the Safetech lift table
  • Safetech's expertise and flexibility.Construction was well under way when the customer approached Technicaids with a request to change the specifications. The table had to be pit mounted requiring remotely mounted power unit and controls, galvanised base and alterations to its descent protection. Safetech was able to modify the manufacturing process and still deliver to schedule
Jeff Allcock from Technicaids in Western Australian worked closely with PFP Technologies' sister company in Australia to finalise the specifications.

He sees a strong market in Asia for equipment of this quality pointing out that Safetech's standard of engineering, attention to detail and willingness to customise without compromising quality or reliability is the key to continued success in the region.
