THE G-Force Easy Arm is the newest addition to the Gorbel family of material handling equipment from Safetech known as intelligent assist devices (IADs).
The articulating jib will be released at Safety in Action 2004. It has an industrial processor-controlled drive system and is available in 70kg capacity with standard spans of 1.8m, 2.4m, and 3m.
G-Force technology is said to be more precise than a hoist and more responsive than an air balancer.
The design is suited to applications that involve lifting objects in areas with low headroom, or under obstructions, as a wire goes over a pulley on the beam so the headroom taken by the G-Force actuator is not lost. It is also suitable for palletising, reaching around obstructions and reaching into work cells/doorways to move product. The jib can rapidly change direction.
It requires no foundation and has a four-bolt hole pattern allowing it to be located almost anywhere.
The jib is delivered pre-assembled. To install, the mast is bolted to any reinforced floor, the is arm raised and the jib levelled. Power is then added to make the jib operational. To relocate, the jib is simply unbolted, moved and reinstalled.
