Ergonomic Cranes and Overhead Handling Systems
Product/Service Name
Gorbel workstation cranes - up to 2 tonne capacity; freestanding, ceiling mounted and jib cranes. G Force and Easy Arm - Intelligent Assist Hoists that works like a bionic lifting arm
Function/ApplicationsWorkstation cranes are extraordinarily easy to move and ideal for any workplace situations requiring repetitive lifting.
Reduce workplace manual handling and retain floor space and layout flexibility by installing an overhead workstation crane system.
Work Station cranes are proven to increase productivity, improve quality, and provide a safer work environment.
Ideal for manufacturing work cells, fabrication shops, assembly cells, maintenance shops
Differentiating FeaturesGorbel workstation cranes are three times easier to use than I beam cranes and allow for safe product handling over a large area – effectively creating a “safe work cell” for users. A study conducted by the Human Factors Laboratory at Rochester Institute of Technology* shows that work station cranes increase productivity up to 28 percent compared with I-beam cranes.
The ergonomic work zone created by a work station crane has the added advantage of freeing up floor space for production. All lifting tasks within the work cell are accessible by the crane. The ease of movement is the same throughout the entire work cell - unlike other crane systems that tend to bind and are more difficult to move when the load is in the corner of the work cell or off to the side.
Other Details-Long life (5 year warranty)
-Proven productivity increases (up to 28%) -Significantly improved operator safety.
-Easy installation, modular design allows for simple relocation.
Crane Types
CEILING MOUNTED WORK STATION BRIDGE CRANE
 Incorporates two parallel runways suspended from the building ceiling along which the bridge can travel. A hoist trolley or end effector attaches to the bridge thus providing full lifting coverage over the entire work area.
 Multiple bridges can be hung from runways. Capacities of the individual bridges may vary according to need and the layout.
 Ceiling mounted cranes don’t require any floor space.
FREE STANDING WORK STATION BRIDGE CRANE
 When the crane can’t be attached to the building columns can be used to create a freestanding structure that supports the runways and bridges.
 Incorporates two parallel runways suspended from the building ceiling along which the bridge can travel. A hoist trolley or end effector attaches to the bridge thus providing full lifting coverage over the entire work area.
 Mixed designs can incorporate freestanding columns on one side and attach to the ceiling on the other side  Multiple bridges can be hung from runways. Capacities of the individual bridges may vary according to need and the layout.
MONORAILS – FREESTANDING, CEILING MOUNTED
 A single runway, either ceiling mounted or freestanding along which hoist trolleys can travel.
 Can be used in conjunction with bridge cranes to create more complex solutions to product handling problems.
 Monorails available in capacities up to 2,000 kg’s
JIBS – FREESTANDING OR WALL MOUNTED
 Jibs provide full lifting coverage over a circular work area.
 They can be mounted to the floor or the wall. If floor mounted the concrete must be of sufficient quality and depth to support the footing.
 Jibs available in capacities up to 500 kg’s
JIBS – ARTICULATED
 Articulating Jib Cranes can position loads in places you cannot reach with traditional jibs.
 Free Standing Articulating Jibs can rotate up to 360° on the primary boom and 260° on the secondary boom.
 Ideal when it comes to positioning and spotting loads around an obstruction, through an open doorway, or rotating in close to the free standing mast.
