The Altrac Fall Arrest System can be easily mounted to the top of a building, or to the inside the roof of a factory, from which people can abseil for cleaning and maintaining building facades and windows.

Strengths and Customer Benefits of the Altrac Fall Arrest System
The Altrac rail is:

  • Will not require any other surface coatings
SAFEMASTER can supply Altrac rail in lengths of 12 000mm and in curved sections. Its high tensile strength means that fewer supports are required enabling a span of up to 5 000mm for two people.

This strength equates not only to a safer system but also cost savings, as fewer structural supports are required, reducing materials installation times and weight within the roofing structure.

The key to, the ease of assembly, of the Altrac fall arrest system is the range of standard brackets and mountings, plus the provision of T slots in the extruded track section upper flange, to allow the use of captive nut fasteners.

The three slots give unlimited scope for the positioning of the suspension brackets and mounting locations. A full range of structural brackets is available to easily and safely install and support the complete system.

All that is required is a single spanner and an electric drill.

The fall arrest system being light weight and modular can be quickly and easily installed allowing for future modification, extension or relocation.

Freedom of Movement
The smooth surface of the Altrac coupled with a rolling resistance of les than 0.5% enables ease of movement, unrestricted by the weight of the supporting system trolley.

Freedom of travel around the complete run of the Altrac System, including curved sections, ensures continued connection and allays the inconvenience of disconnecting from one trolley to another, as with other systems.

All wheels remain in contact with the Altrac fall arrest system at all times, ensuring a free running system reducing the risk of jamming and/or skewing.

The Altrac system is Australian designed, tested and manufactured.

Extruded in Australia using Australian materials of the highest integrity, each batch is tested by a NATA Accredited Laboratory with tensile testing in accordance with AS 1391 and chemical analysis.
