Horizontal cartoner offers short lead times

SWF has released the Horizon 100 horizontal cartoner. It can reach speeds of up to 440 cartons a minute and its standardised design allows it to be delivered in as little as 12-16 weeks.

It is suitable for hand-load or fully automated cartoning applications. Machine operators enjoy easier carton blank loading, simplified jam clearing and greater access to the machine's interior for improved maintenance. It has a servo main drive, a stainless steel welded frame, precision milled carton pockets, scaled adjustments at all changeover locations, a gear-driven rotary carton placer, a powered carton magazine and PLC controls.

Options include Flexo-Tray article buckets, hot melt carton closing, cluster lubrication, pendant HMI, adjustable carton pockets and auto-infeeds. Automatic product infeeds include components for robotics, product phasing, collating and counting for primary and display-pack cartons.

SWF case erector undergoes makeover (7-Sep-2005)

Packing options for bagged products (20-Jan-2004)
SWF has introduced the DP 260C combination case packer for flat and vertical case (and tray) packing of products packaged in flexible bags. Reaching speeds up to 240 bags a minute for flat packing and up to 70 bags a minute for vertical packing, the DP 260C is suitable for a variety of bagged products.

RPC erector eliminates manual set-up (13-Jan-2004)
RETURNABLE Plastic Container (RPC) setup is simplified by SWF’s CE 100P RPC erector. Able to run both full and half-size RPC style cases, the CE 100P runs at speeds up to 1200 cases per hour.
