ST Microelectronics introduces the iNEMO Engine Sensor Fusion Suite, a new family of advanced filtering and predictive software that utilises sophisticated algorithms to integrate outputs from multiple MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) sensors.
The iNEMO engine software are based on the Kalman Filter theory and can employ a set of adaptive prediction and filtering algorithms, which translates the complex information coming from multiple sensing devices, including accelerometers, gyroscopes, compasses and pressure sensors. The software can also automatically correct measurement distortions, inaccuracies and interferences among the sensors.
The iNEMO engine can also be combined with ST Microelectronic’s iNEMO inertial modules, which creates a customisable hardware/software multi-axis MEMS sensor solutions for enhanced motion and accurate heading recognition.
The iNEMO Engine Fusion Suite, from ST Microelectronics, feature real-time onboard motion-sensor data fusion, which helps dramatically improve the user experience, increasing accuracy, resolution, stability, and response time in advanced motion-based applications in consumer, computer, industrial and medical fields.
