From high-resolution video-conferencing to intelligent displays and web-connected devices, the multimedia advanced SPEAr1340 microprocessor targets a broad range of smart connected devices.
Intergrated with an unyielding ARM Mali 200 graphics processing unit for advanced 2D and 3D acceleration in user interfaces, navigation systems, browsing, and gaming. the SPEAr1340 is at home in intensive multimedia applications, sporting a video encoder and decoder for popular compression standards, 1080p video resolution and capable of handling 4 video inputs.

The graphics and video capabilities bring out state-of-the art multimedia performance with very low power consumption, while maintaining the two Cortex-A9 cores available for performing concurrent tasks. The SPEAr1340 microprocessor also provides excellent audio capabilities, handling up to 7.1 surround-sound configurations in both input and output paths.
The ARM Cortex-A9 processor supports both fully symmetric and asymmetric operations at speeds of 600MHz/core for 3000 DMIPS equivalent and the innovative Network-on-Chip (NoC) technology enables multiple different traffic profiles while maximizing data in a very efficient way without effecting performance.
