Global semiconductors leader ST Microelectronics is hosting a one-day interactive summit in Santa Clara, California to discuss the ‘Future of MEMS and Sensors’.
To be held on September 10, 2013 at the Marriot Hotel in Santa Clara, California, the summit has been organised by ST Microelectronics with sponsors Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center, EEWeb, Electronic Engineering Journal, MEMS-Exchange, MEMS Industry Group, MEPTEC and Mouser Electronics.
The summit will feature more than 25 distinguished panellists and speakers, including business leaders and top technologists who will demonstrate how they are adopting sensors to enable applications, augment the user experience, and expand markets. Industry visionaries will describe where the next-generation sensors are creating opportunities to shape the future of electronics.
In addition to presentations, workshops on the Consumerization Wave of Sensors and Telehealth and Wellness Applications will be held through the day.
Benedetto Vigna, Executive Vice President, General Manager of the Analog, MEMS & Sensors Group at ST Microelectronics explains that sensors are moving well beyond smartphones and tablets to appear in everything from gaming devices and fitness monitors to lighting and smart buildings. The summit aims to share the possibilities that lie ahead and how to enable the next generation of devices.
Detailed information about the plenary sessions and workshops, as well as registration for the interactive summit can be accessed on the ST Microelectronics website.
