Voice communication over Internet Protocol with STENTOFON Communications Australia

Supplier News

Picture the scene, an employee has been working late and there is no-one in the building as they prepare to head home. They take the elevator down to the carpark and suddenly the elevator stops between floors.

With a STENTOFON Communications Australia Internet Protocol (IP) station inside the elevator, the employee will be able to place an emergency call for assistance. Within seconds the intercom will route the employee's call directly to the mobile telephone of the off-site security guard who can provide assistance.

These type of voice communication systems are possible with AlphaCom E and its session initiation protocol (SIP) interface, which provide flexible and reliable integrated communication systems.

SIP offers a seamless integration between the AlphaCom E intercom exchange and other voice over internet protocol (VoIP) subsystems such as PBXs, IP telephones, IP DECT telephones, PCs and PDAs.
