STENTOFON track communication intercom systems are already use worldwide, in places such as the Taipei Subway, Taiwan, the Detroit Metro Airport, USA, the Sydney Airport Rail Link, Australia, and the Metro de Caracas, Venezuela
The Metro de Caracas track communication project was completely handled by Zenitel France, using STENTOFON intercom equipment.
This project was a renovation of the security telephone system on the three metro lines of Venezuela's capital city. The track communicaton stations, located in every metro station, are telephone handsets for the hook call and are of two different types: one for technical maneuver requests and one for emergency calls.
The AlphaCom exchange, well equipped with ATLB boards, is used as a PABX. All the station calls are centralized to specially designed CRMIV control room stations, located in a remote control room, allowing a quick turnaround for crucial calls.
