Pacific growth for SSA Global
SSA Global , a leading global provider of enterprise business software and services has announced that performance in the Australia, New Zealand & Fiji (Pacific) region for year to date 2006 is strong with the organisation sealing a number of significant new deals for its demand-driven enterprise and business solutions.
SSA Global signed new license deals for enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM) which included Bostik (one of the largest international companies specialising in adhesives and sealants), Link Market Services (formerly ASX Perpetual Registrars Limited, a leading provider of services and technology to financial market participants), Guild Insurance (General Insurance Provider to niche markets particularly Healthcare) and ComGroup Supplies (one of Australia’s largest manufacturer and exporter of food products for the fast food and catering industries).
SSA Global also secured a multi-million dollar contract to supply its Financial Management Solution (SSA FM) to the Government of Fiji. The momentum of the contract initiated last year (February 2005) involved ongoing licence sales through the second fiscal quarter of 2006, and follows the Fijian Cabinet’s endorsement last November of SSA Global as its preferred supplier for the new Government Financial Management System.
The contract with the Government of Fiji will see SSA FM running on Windows NT implemented across 28 ministries - comprising 52 departments within two-to-three years.
SSA Global’s Professional Services team has continued to gain strength. One of the company’s new professional services initiatives is its Framework for Excellence (FFE), a business consulting offering which provides a structured knowledge base that allows companies to achieve specific business goals through the application of people, process and technology components. SSA Global has commenced several FFE pilots in the Pacific region, including at Salad Fresh, one of the market leaders in supplying prepackaged fresh-cuts in Australia.
SSA Global’s partner programme continues to gain momentum. This year SSA Global partner, Pro Initiative, has launched a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) service based on the SSA Human Capital Management suite. Its newest BPO customer is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of automotive heating, ventilation, air conditioning and power-train cooling systems.
